This 220-acre multi-use area is located 6 miles west of Woodbine, Iowa, on Easton Trail.  A 27-acre fishing lake with boat ramp access, fishing jetties, prairie and woodland trails, campground with electricity and a modern shower house, and cabins for rent are some of the amenities of this area.

Recreational opportunities such as a swimming beach, fishing lake, hiking trails, picnic shelter houses, and a playground are provided at Willow Lake.  There is also a Nature Encounter Center with habitat displays and live animals.  This park is a convenient get-away in the heart of the Loess Hills.

A large portion of this area is open to hunting.  Food plots planted by Harrison County Conservation enhance the habitat for many kinds of wildlife including deer, pheasants, quail, and waterfowl.  The area is predominantly mixed native prairie with scattered woodlands.  Small impoundments also provide wetland habitat.  Six miles of trails provide access to hunting areas.  Hunting is not allowed in developed areas, including the headquarters area, campground, and near cabins.  Please use the main park road to access public hunting land.  Parking areas are adjacent to the restroom/shower building in the campground.

Cabins

Willow Lake camping cabins are strategically perched on a hill overlooking the lake and valley.  Close to all facilities, these cabins make a perfect spot to enjoy the weekend or the week.  Camping cabin amenities include microwave and refrigerator, sleeps six, and equipped with heat and air-conditioning.

The housekeeping cabins are nestled in a pine grove next to the lake that provides peace and quiet.  Housekeeping cabin amenities include a full kitchen, dining area, living area, full bathroom facilities, and sleeping accommodations for up to twelve people.

Shelter Houses

Reservations are available for either the large or small shelter.  Please call (712) 647-2785 to make a reservation.  When not reserved, all shelters are on a first come, first available basis.

Large Shelter: $30/full day and $15/half day
Small Shelter: $20/full day and $10/half day
