| This 220-acre multi-use
area is located 6 miles west of Woodbine, Iowa, on Easton Trail.
A 27-acre fishing lake with boat ramp access, fishing jetties, prairie and woodland
trails, campground with electricity and a modern shower house, and
cabins for rent are some of the amenities of this area.
Recreational opportunities such as a
swimming beach, fishing lake, hiking trails, picnic shelter houses, and a playground
are provided at Willow Lake.
There is also a
Nature Encounter Center with
habitat displays and live animals. This park is a convenient get-away
in the heart of the Loess Hills.
A large portion of this area is
open to hunting. Food plots planted by Harrison County Conservation enhance
the habitat for many kinds of wildlife including deer, pheasants, quail, and
waterfowl. The area is predominantly mixed native prairie with scattered
woodlands. Small impoundments also provide wetland habitat. Six
miles of trails provide access to hunting areas. Hunting is not allowed
in developed areas, including the headquarters area, campground, and near
cabins. Please use the main park road to access public hunting land.
Parking areas are adjacent to the restroom/shower building in the campground.
Cabins Willow Lake

are strategically perched on a hill overlooking the lake and valley.
Close to all facilities, these cabins make a perfect spot to enjoy the
weekend or the week. Camping cabin amenities include microwave and
refrigerator, sleeps six, and equipped with heat and air-conditioning.
The
housekeeping cabins are nestled in a
pine grove next to the lake that provides peace and quiet.
Housekeeping cabin amenities include a full kitchen, dining area,
living area, full bathroom facilities, and sleeping accommodations for
up to twelve people.
Shelter Houses
Reservations are available for either the
large or small shelter. Please call (712) 647-2785 to make a
reservation. When not reserved, all shelters are on a first
come, first available basis.
