Fish Lake Wildlife Area

Fish Lake is owned by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and managed by the Harrison County Conservation Board (as of 2009 this area is owned and managed by the Iowa DNR).  These 19 acres of restored prairie are located two miles north of Missouri Valley.  Despite its name, this old lake bed doesn't actually contain a lake or fish.  There is plenty of upland game hunting, though, including pheasant, quail, rabbits, squirrel, deer, and turkey.  Parking is along the roadway on 295th Street, a level "B" dirt road.
