Fish Lake
Wildlife Area
| Fish Lake is owned by the
Iowa Department of Natural Resources and managed by the Harrison
County Conservation Board. These 19 acres of restored prairie
are located 2 miles north of Missouri Valley. Despite its name,
this old lake bed doesn't actually contain a lake or fish. There
is plenty of upland game hunting, though, including pheasant, quail,
rabbits, squirrel, deer, and turkey. Parking is along the
roadway on 295th Street, a level "B" dirt road. |
