Hunter Safety Class March 19th, 21st, and 22nd, 6:00 - 9:30 p.m. Harrison County Conservation will have a hunter safety class held in the Nature Encounter Center. Must be 12 years old and attend all three nights to receive certification. Registration will only be accepted beginning February 6th, 2012, and space is limited. Chickens & Cranes Bus Trip HCCB is in the planning process with Crawford CCB to have a Prairie Chicken and Sandhill Crane viewing bus trip to Kearney, Nebraska in late March. Late spring is the prime time to visit prairie chicken leks to see their courtship dance and the migration of sandhill cranes on the Platte River. This trip will include transportation on a motor coach, one night stay in Kearney, and admission to visitor centers and museums guided by the naturalists.
